GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

In2Care – Wrap Around Care

In2careAt Wheatfield Primary School, our breakfast and after school club is provided by In2Care. The team at In2Care offer a variety of healthy snack choices, alongside a variety of child initiated and adult planned activities for the children to enjoy before and after a busy day at school.

Breakfast Club - 7.40am-8.40am

  • In2Care provide a variety of healthy breakfast choices, alongside quiet activities such as; reading, puzzles, board games, Lego, drawing and colouring and music to ensure children start the day feeling relaxed, alert and ready to start the day!
  • In2Care provide a selection of healthy breakfast choices in line with healthy eating guidelines including a carbohydrate, toppings, cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt and a refreshing drink.
    • Carbohydrate choices include fruit bread, english muffins, crumpets and toast
    • Topping choices include butter, marmite, jam and honey
    • Cereal choices include cornflakes, multi-grain hoops, weetabix and rice pops
    • Fruit choices include melon, blueberries, bananas and oranges
    • Drink choices include cold water, sugar free squash or fresh milk
  • Children get dropped off by parents any time from the start of the session at 7.40am.
  • At the end of the session Key Stage 2 children are released to make their own way to their classes, while Key Stage 1 and Reception children are escorted to their class teacher.

After School Club - 3.25pm-6pm

  • In2Care offer a wide range of free play activities such as crafts, construction, board games, small world play such as cars, trains and dolls, yoga, team games and sports, alongside some quieter activities such as card games, puzzles and stories to choose from to support children who prefer time to wind down and relax after school.

  • In2Care provide a selection of healthy snack choices in line with healthy eating guidelines including a carbohydrate, toppings, fresh fruit and vegetables and a refreshing drink:

    • Carbohydrate choices include bagels, english muffins, crumpets, wraps, toast or pitta
    • Topping choices include butter, marmite, jam, tuna, cheese spread or cheddar cheese
    • Fruit choices include melon, bananas, oranges, apples and pears
    • Vegetable choices include cucumber, mixed peppers, tomatoes, carrots, celery and lettuce
    • Drink choices include cold water, sugar free squash or fresh milk
  • Parents call our site phone when arriving at the school to collect from the after school club. We will help your children get their belongings together and bring the child out to you, and provide a handover.
  • We can provide for all dietary needs such as dairy or gluten free alternatives. Please note we are a nut free site.
